Job summary

Avancez Assembly in Hazel Park, MI is seeking a Plant Manager to lead the Android production operation, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery while driving lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.

You will mentor leadership, manage staffing and budgeting, and collaborate with Sales on capacity, pricing, and program management. Travel up to 25% is expected; a Bachelor’s in Management/Engineering or MBA is preferred. The role requires strong leadership and operations expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required (Management, Business, or Engineering).
• Master’s Degree in Business Management preferred (MBA).
• Years of Experience: 5+ years in increasingly complex management positions with a minimum of 10 years in the automotive industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the leadership team and develop direct reports.
• Direct planning, coordination, and direction of Android manufacturing activities; ensure safety, quality, productivity and on-time delivery.
• Maintain staffing levels to meet budgeted financial performance for the Android plant.
• Utilize Android KPIs to track and drive improvements aligned with business goals.
• Drive lean manufacturing with standard work procedures and safety analysis.
• Implement policy deployment to hit productivity and cost targets; ensure customer satisfaction.
• Support compliance with IATF 16949/ISO14001 and customer awards/registrations.
• Lead safety committee and ensure safe procedures are followed.
