Job summary

LKQ Corp. is hiring a Parts Handler in Wisconsin to support the production yard and warehouse operations.

You will locate and retrieve parts, package orders, prep shipments, and help maintain safety and organization in the work area. Typical duties include pulling work orders, using hand and power tools to remove parts from vehicles, operating a forklift or order picker, tagging parts, and coordinating with Sales and Dispatch.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Working knowledge of automotive parts preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 75–100 lbs.
• Experience with Outlook/Word/Excel preferred.
• Follow safety procedures and basic instructions.

Responsibilities

• Safely maneuver around yard/warehouse.

This position may be directed by the Production/Yard Leader to assure that the parts are handled in a safe, efficient, and proper manner. Starting Pay $20.00**Essential Job Duties*** Safely maneuver around the yard or warehouse.* Find/Retrieve parts.* Package parts for delivery/or prepping* Any paperwork involved with the parts.* Pull work orders.* Use hand tools and power tools to remove parts from cars.* Operate a powered industrial truck (forklift) or order picker.* Pull and prep all sheet metal and other orders.* Tag all parts properly for the destination.* Communicate with Sales and Dispatch.* Must display a positive and friendly attitude as well as appropriate behavior during work hours.* Cleanliness must be maintained in the work area.* Assume other duties as assigned.**Supervisory Responsibilities*** Not responsible for supervising employees.**Minimum Requirements****Education & Experience*** High School Diploma/GED.**Preferred** **Requirements*** A working knowledge of automotive parts.**Knowledge/Skills/Abilities*** Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. May write brief messages and keep simple records.
