Job summary

LKQ Corporation is seeking a Parts Handler in Moses Lake, WA. Starting pay is $23 per hour. You will safely maneuver in the yard or warehouse, locate and retrieve parts, and prepare them for delivery while tagging for destination.

You may operate a forklift or order picker and collaborate with Sales and Dispatch daily. The role requires staying organized and maintaining a clean work area. Preferred candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and some knowledge of automotive parts.

Qualifications

• Basic math: add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.

Responsibilities

• Safely maneuver around the yard or warehouse.
• Find/Retrieve parts.
• Package parts for delivery or prepping.

This position may be directed by the Production/Yard Leader to assure that the parts are handled in a safe, efficient, and proper manner.Essential Job DutiesSafely maneuver around the yard or warehouse.Find/Retrieve parts.Package parts for delivery/or preppingAny paperwork involved with the parts.Pull work orders.Use hand tools and power tools to remove parts from cars.Operate a powered industrial truck (forklift) or order picker.Pull and prep all sheet metal and other orders.Tag all parts properly for the destination.Communicate with Sales and Dispatch.Must display a positive and friendly attitude as well as appropriate behavior during work hours.Cleanliness must be maintained in the work area.Assume other duties as assigned.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNot responsible for supervising employees.Minimum RequirementsEducation & ExperienceHigh School Diploma/GED.Preferred RequirementsA working knowledge of automotive parts.Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.Frequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, graphics, etc.Basic messages communicated orally.
