Job summary

Asbury Automotive Group, Burlington, MA, is seeking an Automotive Parts Driver (Courier) to pick up and deliver parts to customers and dealerships in the local market.

You will assist customers and colleagues in a friendly, professional manner, verify orders, and maintain delivery schedules. A valid driver's license, ability to lift 50+ pounds, and pre-employment screening are required.

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must have a valid Driver's License.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screens (background and drug test).
• Experience with automotive parts or military equivalent is a plus but not required.
• Must be able to lift up to and over 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist all customers and associates in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
• Check with the parts manager and other staff before leaving to coordinate pickups or deliveries.
• Pick up and deliver parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, and wholesale accounts.
• Pull and fill orders from stock as directed.
• Verify that delivered parts match invoice and purchase order.
• Secure and unload parts truck each night.
• Maintain a prompt, efficient flow of paperwork and delivery schedule.

Compensation: $18-$20 hourly

The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry, education, etc.

The Parts Driver is responsiblefor selecting, verifying and delivering parts to customers and/or other dealerships in the general prescribed market area of the local parts departments.

• Assist all customers and associates in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner


• Checks with the parts manager, wholesale representative, inventory control administrator, parts counter people, or shipping and receiving clerk before leaving to coordinate any last minute pick-ups or deliveries


• Pick up and delivers parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and/or vendors


• Pulls and fills orders from stock, as directed


• Ensure that parts to be delivered matches invoice, verify that invoice matches PO (purchase order) for each pick-up


• Secure and unload parts truck each night


• Assist with stocking and posting orders when they arrive to expedite delivery to shop technicians and wholesale accounts


• Maintain a prompt, efficient and timely flow of paperwork and delivery schedule


• Must be able to lift up to and over 50 pounds


• Experience with automotive parts or military equivalent experience is a plus but not required


• Must be a minimum of eighteen years of age


• Must have a valid Driver's License


• Must be able to pass pre-employment screens (background and drug test)
