  • Valid Driver's license and clean background.
  • Strong computer and communication skills are essential.

  • Consult with mechanics on applicable parts for repairs.

We're seeking a Parts Counterperson to join our team at Sunset Ford in St. Louis.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers by phone/greet mechanics at the counter and assist them with any inquiries.
  • Look up and determine correct parts needed for a particular job
  • Bill out parts
  • Invoice & close parts tickets
  • Consult with customer/mechanic on applicable parts and recommended/required parts for the intended repair (gaskets, fluids, nuts, bolts, etc.)
  • Keep customer/mechanic informed on part arrival times/shipping status and possible changes
  • Provide concierge/receptionist support for all owner inquiries, whether by phone or in person, to assure the customer has a positive service experience
  • Build strong relationships with the customers
  • Understand and implement Ford Warranty Processes designated by management

Qualifications

  • Parts Counter Selling Experience Required (NAPA, AutoZone, etc.)
  • Valid Driver's license and clean background
  • Abilityto work efficiently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong computer skills - quick & accurate typing
  • Must be able to read, process and create shop estimates
  • Professional phone skills with ability to manage multiple calls at a time
  • General understanding of automotive workings and repairs
