Job summary

Van Horn Kia of Glendale is seeking an Automotive Parts Counter Person to join our team in Glendale, WI. In this full-time role, you will assist technicians by looking up parts, sell parts to retail customers, and help manage parts inventory in coordination with the service department.

You'll work with vendors to locate and order parts, process orders in the Mopar ordering system, and provide friendly, knowledgeable service over the phone and in person.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Previous automotive experience is preferred.
• Previous parts experience is preferred.
• Computer knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Look up required parts for jobs in the shop with service department.
• Help service advisors and technicians by creating parts estimates.
• Receive, pull and bill parts.
• Create orders within the Mopar ordering system.
• Place orders and create purchase orders for outside vendors.
• Work with customers over the phone and in house with over-the-counter sales.
• Assist parts manager in maintaining a clean and efficient parts inventory.
• Order parts as needed to keep the parts inventory at the correct level.
• Develop and maintain productive relationships with all vendors.
• Expedite parts and/or search alternative sources when determining defective parts.
• Maintain accurate accounting records for purchased and/or returned parts.
