Auburn Chevrolet is seeking a dependable, organized Part-Time Parts Counter Associate to support our busy Parts Department. This role focuses on receiving deliveries, organizing inventory, preparing parts for service repairs, and maintaining an efficient and organized department.

Automotive parts experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate! This position offers on-the-job training, a part-time work schedule, paid sick time, and a team-oriented environment.

Aufgaben

• Receive GM Parts Orders – check in daily deliveries, verify quantities and part numbers against packing slips.
• Receive Hyundai Parts Orders – check in deliveries, verify orders, report shortages or damage.
• Organize Special Order Parts by customer/repair order and label accordingly.
• Put away stock parts in designated bin locations; training provided.
• Receive and store tires with proper labeling and storage.
• Pull parts for sold jobs and stage for tickets and repair orders.
• Prepare parts for scheduled appointments and stage for repairs.
• Maintain special order shelves and notify management of aging items.
• Assist with parts returns to GM, Hyundai, and other vendors.
• Handle warranty parts and organize per procedures.
• Maintain clean, organized shelves, bins, receiving areas and workspaces.
• Assist with inventory counts and report discrepancies.
• Deliver parts to technicians to minimize wait times.
• Organize cores and organize CVO/LPO accessories.

Automotive Parts Counter Associate (Part Time)

Position Overview

Auburn Chevrolet is seeking a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Part-Time Parts Counter Associate to support our busy Parts Department. This position focuses on receiving deliveries, organizing inventory, preparing parts for service repairs, and maintaining an efficient and organized department.

Automotive parts experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate!

Key Responsibilities

• Receive GM Parts Orders – Check in daily GM parts deliveries, verify quantities and part numbers against packing slips, and identify any discrepancies.


• Receive Hyundai Parts Orders – Check in Hyundai parts deliveries, verify orders, and report any shortages, damaged parts, or incorrect shipments.


• Organize Special Order Parts – Sort, label, and organize incoming special-order parts by customer and/or repair order.


• Put Away Stock Parts – Stock incoming inventory parts in designated bin locations. Training will be provided on locating and identifying new stock parts.


• Receive and Store Tires – Check in tire deliveries, verify quantities, and properly label and store tires.


• Pull Parts for Sold Jobs – Pull and stage parts for retail counter tickets, wholesale orders, and repair orders (ROs).


• Prepare Parts for Scheduled Appointments – Review upcoming service appointments and help stage available parts for scheduled repairs.


• Maintain Special Order Shelves – Keep special-order parts organized, identify older or unclaimed parts, and notify management of items that are aging.


• Assist With Parts Returns – Organize and prepare parts for GM, Hyundai, and other vendor returns.


• Handle Warranty Parts – Properly tag, organize, and store warranty parts according to GM and Hyundai procedures.


• Maintain Parts Department Organization – Keep shelves, bins, receiving areas, and workspaces clean, organized, and free of unnecessary clutter.


• Assist With Inventory Counts – Perform bin counts and report inventory discrepancies to management.


• Deliver Parts to Technicians – Deliver parts to technicians as needed to help reduce wait times at the counter and keep repairs moving efficiently.


• Organize Core Returns – Identify, label, and organize cores for return to the appropriate vendors.


• Organize CVO and LPO Accessories – Assist with organizing CVO and LPO accessories and ensuring items are placed in their designated storage areas.

• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn dealership parts systems.


• Ability to lift, carry, and organize automotive parts and tires, with or without reasonable accommodation.


• Previous automotive parts, warehouse, inventory, or dealership experience is preferred but not required.
