Job description

Parts Advisor

Pride Chevrolet| Lynn, MA

Parts Advisor Wanted: Keep the Shop Moving

Pride Motor Group is hiring a Parts Advisor for our Chevrolet store in Lynn. The shop only runs as fast as the parts counter, and we're looking for someone detail-oriented and team-minded to help keep technicians moving, orders accurate, and customers taken care of.

Parts and service work as one team here, not two departments pointing fingers at each other. If you want to be part of that, and you want a real path to grow beyond the counter, we want to talk to you.

Pay & Growth
  • $800 per week draw to start
  • Plus 1.5% of the total parts and labor gross profit the store generates, paid out on a washout check the following month, less your draw, policy adjustments, and discounts
  • Real profit sharing. The more the store grows, the more you earn, not just an hourly wage
  • Real opportunities to grow into a parts manager role or cross-train into other areas of fixed operations
Benefits
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Medical insurance through Aetna, including access to affordable care and prescriptions through CVS pharmacies
  • Dental insurance
  • Vision insurance through EyeMed
  • Paid vacation: 1 week after your first year, 2 weeks after your second year, and 3 weeks after seven years
  • 5 paid sick days annually, with up to 5 unused days able to roll over each year
  • Holiday pay
  • Full OEM and in-house training toward factory certification
  • Employee referral bonus
  • Employee discount on service and parts
  • Employee and family vehicle purchase plan
  • Your own personal development coach through Car Motivators, one-on-one
  • Real opportunities for advancement in a promote-from-within shop
  • Long-term job security with a 40+ year family-owned dealership group
What We Need From You
  • Experience at a parts counter, in inventory, or in a similar automotive parts role is preferred, but we'll consider strong candidates from retail, inventory, or warehouse backgrounds who are ready to learn the automotive side
  • Comfortable using a computer and dealership management systems to look up, quote, and process parts orders accurately
  • Attention to detail. A wrong part number or a missed bulletin costs the shop real time and real money, and we need someone who double-checks their work
  • Strong work ethic and a growth mindset, with real interest in building a long-term career here, not just filling a seat
  • Friendly, coachable, and genuinely interested in being part of a work family, not just a workplace
  • Comfortable communicating with technicians, service advisors, and customers, and able to work as part of a team rather than in a silo
  • Able to lift and move parts as needed
  • Insurable under our dealership garage policy, with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Able to pass a background check
Shift
  • Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Saturday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (rotating)
  • On weeks that include a Saturday shift, you get one weekday off, set when your schedule is made
  • Sunday: closed
Why Pride Motor Group

We're in the business of selling and servicing new and used vehicles while providing an exceptional customer experience, and the parts department is the engine room that makes that possible. Pride Motor Group has been a family-owned business for over 40 years. Suzanne Iovanna stepped into ownership unexpectedly in 2014, earned her NADA dealer certification, trained directly with Kia and Hyundai in Korea, and became one of the only women dealer principals in the country. That same determination is what she expects from every department, parts included.

You’ll get real training, not just a parts catalog and a phone, a personal coach through Car Motivators to help you build your career, and a shop where parts and service actually work together instead of against each other.

Culture
  • Family owned and operated for over 40 years. Suzanne Iovanna has run Pride Motor Group since 2014, when she stepped in unexpectedly and became one of the few women dealer principals in the country. That same grit and family-first mindset runs through the shop, not just the showroom
  • Actively involved in the Lynn community: My Brother's Table of Lynn, Girls Inc of Lynn, local youth sports, and proud members of the Lynn Chamber of Commerce
  • Personal, one on one coaching is available for all staff through our partnership with Car Motivators, a dedicated performance coach who is in your corner, not just a manager checking boxes
  • A real promote from within track record. Hiring decisions are made by the people you’ll actually work for, not a distant HR office, because our department heads want to see you move up
Responsibilities
  • Quote, pull, and process parts orders accurately for technicians, service advisors, and counter customers
  • Look up correct part numbers against VINs, technical service bulletins, and campaigns, and flag discrepancies before they become comebacks
  • Process warranty parts claims and keep documentation accurate and organized
  • Order parts, track turnaround, and keep technicians updated on status so repair orders keep moving
  • Maintain accurate inventory, including receiving, stocking, and cycle counts
  • Communicate clearly and work collaboratively with technicians and service advisors to avoid delays and mistakes
  • Keep the parts counter and stockroom clean, organized, and safe
  • Provide friendly, responsive service to internal staff and walk-in customers alike
Our Hiring Process
  • Text or phone response and interview scheduling, usually within 24 hours
  • In person or phone interview with the Service Manager or Fixed Operations Director
  • Reference and background check
  • Offer and paperwork
  • Onboarding and welcome to the Pride Motor Group family
