About the Role

The Automotive Painter prepares vehicles and parts for painting and performs the complete paint application process. This role requires attention to detail, safe work practices, quality craftsmanship, and a commitment to maintaining a clean, organized workspace.

What You’ll Do

• Remove grease, dirt, rust, and existing paint using proper tools, techniques, and equipment.
• Prepare vehicles, parts, and work areas for painting.
• Complete paint preparation, including sanding, grinding, masking, color matching, and paint mixing.
• Perform complete paint application in accordance with quality and safety standards.
• Complete minor surface repairs and basic paint correction as needed.
• Support basic ceramic-coating services.
• Maintain, clean, and report repair needs for paint equipment and tools.
• Monitor inventory levels for PPE, tools, paint materials, and chemicals needed for daily operations.
• Perform interior and exterior detailing, interior repair, inventory support, and paint-preparation functions as assigned.
• Keep the work area clean, safe, and organized throughout the day.
• Clean and properly store tools and equipment at the end of each shift.
• Participate in problem-solving and continuous-improvement activities.
• Provide outstanding service to internal and external customers.
• Learn and follow proper painting, detailing, and safety techniques.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Prior automotive painting, detailing, collision repair, or related experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of paint preparation, sanding, grinding, masking, color matching, and paint application.
• Basic knowledge of paint correction and ceramic coating preferred.
• Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to follow safety requirements for PPE, chemicals, tools, and equipment.
• Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and productive work area.
• Customer-focused mindset and commitment to quality work
