Job summary

Dealer Integrated Services in Houston, TX is seeking an Automotive Painter to join our team and expertly paint vehicles to customer specifications.

Ideal candidates have automotive paint experience, are reliable team players, and are able to work with multiple departments to meet production goals. Physical stamina and the ability to sit, bend, and stand for extended periods are required; a basic ability to operate manual transmission is a plus.

Qualifications

• Prior automotive paint experience required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to sit, bend, squat, and hold positions for long periods.
• Strong work ethic and teamwork.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Receive automotive inventory and review pre-approved paint work.
• Mix paint and apply primers, sealers, basecoats, and clearcoats.
• Spray finishes with minimal dirt and consistent gloss/textures to match OEM finish.
• Blend and apply 2- and 3-stage colors as needed.
• Work closely with prep staff and other painters to meet work demands as a team.
• Maintain company-provided tools and equipment in accordance with company standards.

We are looking for an Automotive Painter to join our team! The Automotive Painter is responsible for painting vehicles from a variety of makes and models to customer specifications at a high level of skill and quality. If you have experience with automotive paint and are looking for a stable opportunity with no prospecting required, then this may be the job for you!

Responsibilities:

• Receive automotive inventory and review pre-approved paint work
• Mix paint and paint vehicles and panels as approved on the repair order
• Properly spray the application of primers, sealers, basecoats, and clearcoats
• Produce sprayed finishes with little or no dirt and a consistent gloss and texture,e matching the OEM finish with minimal to no need to sand and buff
• Blend and apply 2- and 3-stage colors as needed
• Work closely with prep staff and other painters to meet work demands as a team.
• Partner with additional departments as applicable to ensure customer satisfaction
• Maintain company-provided tools and additional equipment in accordance with company standards.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in automotive paint
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have a checking/savings account or pay card with routing numbers for direct deposit
• General understanding of automotive details and features.
• Ability to sit, bend, squat, and hold various positions for long periods of time
• Ability to prioritize tasks and set deadlines.
• Ability to work well with multiple departments
• Motivated, personable, and a team player with a strong work ethic.
• The ability to operate a manual transmission is a plus.
