Job summary

Caliber Collision in Glen Allen, VA is seeking an Automotive Painter to perform all-purpose duties including tint matching, paint mixing, and applying coatings to OEM standards. You will ensure proper sequence, timing and materials usage, complete paint operations, remove masking, and reassemble prior to handing back to the body technician.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of paint operations experience in a collision center; an Auto Body certificate or ASE refinishing certification is

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in paint operations within a collision center.
• Auto Body certificate or ASE certification in refinishing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare color tint and mix paints to OEM standards.
• Ensure proper application sequence, timing and materials usage.
• Masking and disassembly reassembly to return vehicle to the body technician.
• Complete all paint operations and ensure quality of finish.

JOB SUMMARY

Caliber Collision has an immediate job opening for an Automotive Painter to perform all-purpose duties, which may include, but not limited to: Preparing color tint to match paint color, mixing paint colors and ensuring all formulations, preparations, top coating and curing meet original equipment manufacturer (OEM) recommended standards for proper application sequence, timing and materials usage, ensuring that all paint operations are complete, all masking is removed, and all prior paint-related disassembly have been reassembled prior to returning the vehicle to the body technician.

OUR AUTOMOTIVE PAINTER FOR THIS POSITION CAN MAKE UP TO:

• $18.00-$20.00 per Flag Hour!

REQUIREMENTS:

• 3+ years of experience in paint operations within a collision center
• Auto Body certificate or ASE certification in refinishing preferred

• Ability to do consistent physical activity – reach below and above shoulder level, kneeling, bending, and squatting, and lifting objects over 50 lbs.
• Ability to read and understand instructions, written estimates, and work orders
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Work through competing priorities and adapt easily to a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work in a collaborative environment
