Job summary

CrossSafety Solutions Inc. is seeking a Paint Project Engineer to support high-volume automotive paint operations across multiple U.S. facilities.

You will drive process integrity, equipment readiness, material performance, and continuous improvement initiatives in fast-paced production environments. You will collaborate with production leaders, maintenance, suppliers, and robotics specialists to meet safety, quality, and throughput targets while managing projects from concept through

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from mechanical, industrial, electrical, manufacturing, chemical, or similar.
• 2–8+ years of engineering or project management experience in manufacturing.
• Experience supporting capital projects, equipment installation, or production preparation.
• Ability to read and interpret 2D/3D drawings, layouts, and equipment docs.
• Strong problem-solving mindset using PDCA, 5-Why or DMAIC.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite (Excel, Project, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to overtime, weekends, and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily process support to maintain vehicle and process integrity.
• Lead quality, material, cost, productivity, safety, and equipment improvements.
• Lead new material introduction activities with no negative KPI impact.
• Investigate process or equipment concerns using structured problem-solving.
• Interpret paint system drawings, circulation schematics, and equipment specs.
• Lead change management and equipment installation/refurbishment projects.
• Develop proposals, operating plans, and project strategies.
• Coordinate cross-department investigations and report root causes and countermeasures.
• Support kaizen activities while protecting KPIs.
• Apply PDCA, 5-Why, DMAIC for problem solving.
• Participate in cleanliness protocols in battery or clean-room environments.
• Ensure safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance; wear required PPE.
