Abra Auto Glass l Minnesota & Western Wisconsin is hiring a full-time Automotive Paint Prepper for our Duluth, MN location. The role focuses on prepping surfaces, buffing, and supporting the painting team, with emphasis on quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience with tools used in body shop and paint prep.
• Painting experience is preferred, especially prep and refinishing basics.
• Industry experience in automotive settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Buff vehicles and prepare surfaces for painting.
• Assist shop staff and transport parts as needed.
• Work under the painter and shop manager to maintain schedules.
• Maintain predictable attendance and safety protocols.

Job Duties for Paint Prepper include:

• Knowledge of manufacturers' repair/refinishing processes & adherence to ABRA's processes


• Ability to use selected vendor materials and general supplies efficiently and cost effectively.


• Buff vehicles and get them ready for the painting process


• Provides assistance to shop employees


• Bring parts to employees in shop


• Works directly under painter and shop manager


• Predictable and reliable attendance needed


• Auto Body Vo-Tech certificate preferred

Requirements:

• Experience with tools


• 1 yr painting experience preferred


• 1 yr in automotive industry preferred.
