Job summary

Classic Collision in Sandy Springs, GA, is seeking an Automotive Paint Prepper to support the detailing and repair process. You will prepare vehicles for painting, assist technicians, and maintain a clean, safe work area in a fast-paced shop.

Qualifications include being 18+, having a valid driver’s license, and preferably I-CAR certification. The role offers competitive pay, a 401K match, PTO, and opportunities for career progression within a growing company.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid Driver's License Required.
• I-CAR certification preferred.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Successful completion of background check required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all assigned vehicles for refinishing and reassembly; support Paint Technicians as required.
• Perform paint preparation per factory specifications and repair orders; mentor guidance from Paint Technician.
• Assist Paint Technician by preparing spray-out panels to determine blend needs; assist in sanding and buffing to ensure quality finishes.
• Adhere to hazardous waste disposal requirements.
• Maintain tools and equipment; keep paint booth and filters clean and organized.
• Use air sanders, spray guns, sanding blocks to complete quality work.
• Ensure masking removed and prior paint disassembly reassembled before returning vehicle to body technician.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
