Appone is seeking a Permanent Packaging / Conveyance / Material Handling Engineer in Detroit to design and optimize material movement within factories and warehouses. You will integrate AMRs, conveyors, and automated storage to boost safety, cut costs, and improve production efficiency.
Required are 5+ years in automotive materials, a relevant engineering degree, and strong skills in Lean/Kaizen, project management, and MS Office/AutoCAD.

Packaging/Conveyance/Material Handling Engineer
Designs and optimize system to move, store, and control materials within factories and warehouses. Layout out facility space, and integrate equipment (AMRs, conveyors, and automated storage units) to improve safety, reduce operational costs, and boost overall production efficiency.

5 years prior experience in an automotive material, or related environment. Experience preferred in areas of high-volume assembly, material flow, logistics and packaging experience, loss identification, and process improvements. University degree in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineer. Team approach to problem solving, strong verbal and written communication skills. Proven project and time management skills. Computer literate, including proficiency in DraftSight, Word, Project and Excel. Good knowledge of JIT, QMS, Process Flow, World Class Manufacturing, PFMEA and Continuous Improvement.
Bachelor's degree in industrial Engineer/Manufacturing Engineer or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of five (5) years of engineering experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
