Job summary

Lancaster Hyundai is seeking a part-time lot attendant to maintain clean vehicles, assist with showroom displays and perform basic duties listed. You will wash exteriors, vacuum interiors, check for damage and ensure window stickers are properly applied.

The role requires a valid driver's license, ability to drive manual transmission, and stamina to lift up to 50 lbs. Hours include evenings and Saturdays; safety and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license with good driving record.
• Must be able to drive manual transmission vehicles.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence and memos in English.
• Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards.
• Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
• Physical requirements: stand, crouch, kneel; walk, reach with hands and arms; lift 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Washes vehicle exterior, cleans interior and exterior windows and wipes down doorjambs.
• Vacuums interior of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris.
• Cleans all windows.
• Quality control check of every vehicle before staging for sale or for a customer.
• Inspects vehicles for dents, scratches, torn upholstery, and mechanical issues.
• Fuels vehicles off-site.
• Applies dressing on tires and wheel wells.
• Checks new vehicles for damage.
• Maintains showroom and stock vehicles in clean condition.
• Ensures window stickers are displayed in the vehicle’s window; removes stickers after sale.
• Maintains a clean shop environment.
• General maintenance: sweeping, trash, winter duties, snow removal, relocating vehicles as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Duties Include:

• Washes vehicle exterior, cleans interior and exterior windows and wipes down doorjambs.
• Vacuums interior of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris.
• Cleans all windows.
• Quality control check of every vehicle before being staged for sale or for a customer that is purchasing
• Inspects vehicles for noticeable defects, such as dents, scratches, torn upholstery, and poor mechanical operations.
• Fills vehicle with fuel off site
• Applies dressing on tires and wheel wells
• Checks new vehicles coming off delivery trucks for damage
• Maintains showroom and stock vehicles in clean and presentable condition at all times
• Ensures proper stickers are displayed in the vehicle’s window.
• Removes all window stickers on sold vehicles
• Maintains a clean shop environment
• General maintenance (sweeping, trash, shoveling in winter, removal of snow from vehicles in winter, relocating vehicles from one spot to another) automatic or manual transmission
• Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

• Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards

• Physical requirements: regularly required to stand, crouch, and kneel; frequently required to walk, reach with hands and arms and to use hands and fingers to feel objects, tools and components; occasionally required to stoop or crawl and the ability to talk and hear. Ability to lift 50lbs.

Hours: Monday through Thursday 4:00PM to 8:00PM,Friday 4:00PM to 6:00PM , with rotating Saturdays 8:00AM to 5:00PM
