Job summary

The Boyd Group is hiring an Automotive ADAS Technician in Southern Pines, NC. Your primary duties include customer interaction, vehicle testing and repair, invoicing, and maintaining inventory while delivering exceptional service as a Brand Ambassador.

Key requirements include 4+ years of automotive/electronic technician experience, knowledge of OE scan tools, wiring repairs and A/C systems, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• 4+ years relevant automotive/electronic technician experience.
• Knowledge of OE scan tools.
• Knowledge of wiring repair procedures.
• Ability to service A/C systems.
• Must possess diagnostic skills in automotive trades.
• Basic computer knowledge including email, spreadsheets, and messaging systems.

Responsibilities

• Determines testing and analysis by communicating with shop representatives and reviews all estimates for repair.
• Performs diagnostic testing, programming, ADAS calibrations and analysis.
• Performs wiring repairs.
• Advises shop of needed repairs.
• Keeps inventory of stock and communicates with support staff for orders and receipts.
• Writes, prints and emails service invoices.
• Collects signature or payment for work performed.
• Delivers completed invoices and payments to office in orderly manner.
• Keeps shop equipment operating and maintains supplies; performs preventative maintenance.
• Collaborates with teammates to schedule/complete jobs.

Job Description

The Automotive ADAS Technician’s primary responsibility and accountability comprises customer interaction, vehicle testing and repair, invoice generation, inventory control, and service vehicle maintenance. The Automotive ADAS Technician works in alignment with all team members and is committed to being a dedicated Brand Ambassador of The Boyd Group at all times.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Determines testing and analysis by communicating with shop representatives and reviews all estimates for repair
• Performs diagnostic testing, programming, ADAS calibrations and analysis
• Performs wiring repairs
• Advises shop of needed repairs
• Keeps inventory of stock, communicating with support staff for needed orders and verifying order receipts
• Writes, prints and emails service invoices
• Collects signature or payment for work performed
• Delivers completed invoices and payments to office in orderly manner
• Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshoots breakdowns; maintains supplies; performs preventative maintenance; advises management of repairs; keeps Google Drive up to date
• Collaborates with teammates according to PPT guidelines to schedule/complete jobs
• Other duties, as assigned

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Knowledge of OE scan tools
• Ability to learn new tools as needed
• Knowledge of wiring repair procedures
• Ability to service A/C systems
• Possesses diagnostic skills in the automotive trade
• Basic computer knowledge including using email, spreadsheet and messaging systems
• Willing and able to update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical publications and the like
• Must possess high school degree or GED equivalent
• 4+ years relevant automotive/electronic technician experience required

Compensation Details

• Pay Range: $60,000 - $95,000 / Annually (hourly pay, eligible for overtime). Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience.
• Schedule: Full-Time Monday to Friday 8 am – 5 pm
