Job summary

The Boyd Group in Baltimore, MD is seeking an Automotive ADAS Technician to support our automotive service team. You will engage with customers, perform testing and repairs, generate invoices, manage inventory, and ensure service quality in a fast-paced shop environment.

The ideal candidate has strong diagnostic skills, experience with ADAS, wiring repairs, and A/C systems, plus solid computer skills; a HS diploma and 4+ years in automotive/electronic tech preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have 4+ years of relevant automotive/electronic technician experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of OE scan tools.
• Ability to service A/C systems.
• Strong diagnostic skills in automotive trade.
• Basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets, messaging).
• Willingness to update job knowledge through education and reading tech literature.

Responsibilities

• Determine testing and analysis by communicating with shop reps and reviewing repair estimates.
• Perform diagnostic testing, programming, ADAS calibrations and analysis.
• Perform wiring repairs.
• Advise shop of needed repairs.
• Keep inventory of stock and verify receipts.
• Write, print and email service invoices.
• Collect signature or payment for work performed.
• Deliver completed invoices and payments to office.
• Keep shop equipment operating and maintain supplies; perform maintenance.
• Collaborate with teammates to schedule and complete jobs.
• Other duties, as assigned.

The Automotive ADAS Technician’s primary responsibility and accountability comprises customer interaction, vehicle testing and repair, invoice generation, inventory control, and service vehicle maintenance. The Automotive ADAS Technician works in alignment with all team members and is committed to being a dedicated Brand Ambassador of The Boyd Group at all times.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Determines testing and analysis by communicating with shop representatives and reviews all estimates for repair

• Performs diagnostic testing, programming, ADAS calibrations and analysis

• Performs wiring repairs

• Advises shop of needed repairs

• Keeps inventory of stock, communicating with support staff for needed orders and verifying order receipts

• Writes, prints and emails service invoices

• Collects signature or payment for work performed

• Delivers completed invoices and payments to office in orderly manner

• Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshoots breakdowns; maintains supplies; performs preventative maintenance; advises management of repairs; keeps Google Drive up to date

• Collaborates with teammates according to PPT guidelines to schedule/complete jobs

• Other duties, as assigned

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Knowledge of OE scan tools

• Ability to learn new tools as needed

• Knowledge of wiring repair procedures

• Ability to service A/C systems

• Possesses diagnostic skills in the automotive trade

• Basic computer knowledge including using email, spreadsheet and messaging systems

• Willing and able to update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical publications and the like

• Must possess high school degree or GED equivalent

• 4+ years relevant automotive/electronic technician experience required

Compensation Details:

• Pay Range: $60,000 - $95,000 / Annually (hourly pay, eligible for overtime). Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience.

• Schedule: Full-Time Monday to Friday 8 am – 5 pm
