Job summary

The Boyd Group in Cedar Rapids, IA is hiring an Automotive ADAS Technician to handle customer interactions, vehicle testing and repair, and invoicing. You will work with the team to diagnose, calibrate ADAS systems, and manage parts inventory while ensuring shop efficiency.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in automotive/electronic tech, OE tool experience, and strong diagnostic skills. A high school degree or GED is required, and a daily 8–5 schedule is typical.

Responsibilities

• Determines testing and analysis by communicating with shop representatives and reviews all repair estimates.
• Performs diagnostic testing, programming, ADAS calibrations and analysis.
• Performs wiring repairs.
• Advises shop of needed repairs.
• Keeps inventory of stock and verifies receipts.
• Writes, prints and emails service invoices.
• Collects signatures or payment for work performed.
• Delivers completed invoices and payments to office.
• Keeps shop equipment operating and troubleshoots issues; maintains supplies.
• Collaborates with teammates to schedule and complete jobs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description:

The Automotive ADAS Technician’sprimary responsibility and accountability comprises customer interaction, vehicle testing and repair, invoice generation, inventory control, and service vehicle maintenance. The Automotive ADAS Technician works in alignment with all team members and is committed to being a dedicated Brand Ambassador of The Boyd Group at all times.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Determines testing and analysis by communicating with shop representatives and reviews all estimates for repair

• Keeps inventory of stock, communicating with support staff for needed orders and verifying order receipts

• Writes, prints and emails service invoices

• Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshoots breakdowns; maintains supplies; performs preventative maintenance; advises management of repairs; keeps Google Drive up to date

• Collaborates with teammates according to PPT guidelines to schedule/complete jobs

• Other duties, as assigned

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Knowledge of OE scan tools

• Ability to learn new tools as needed

• Knowledge of wiring repair procedures

• Ability to service A/C systems

• Possesses diagnostic skills in the automotive trade

• Basic computer knowledge including using email, spreadsheet and messaging systems

• Willing and able to update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical publications and the like

• Must possess high school degree or GED equivalent

• 4+ years relevant automotive/electronic technician experience required

Compensation Details:

• Pay Range: $60,000 - $95,000 / Annually (hourly pay, eligible for overtime). _ Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience. _
