Job summary

Mobile Auto Solutions (MAS) in Abilene, Texas is seeking an Automotive ADAS Technician to diagnose, calibrate, and repair advanced driver-assistance systems. You will test vehicles, prepare invoices, manage stock, and work with a collaborative team to ensure quality service for customers.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in automotive/electronic tech, knowledge of OE scan tools and wiring repair, plus the ability to learn new tools and update skills.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• 4+ years in automotive/electronic technician role.
• Knowledge of OE scan tools.
• Ability to learn new tools as needed.
• Knowledge of wiring repair procedures.
• Ability to service A/C systems.
• Diagnostic skills in automotive trade.
• Basic computer knowledge (email, spreadsheets, messaging).
• Willing to update knowledge via educational opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Determine testing and analysis by communicating with shop representatives and reviewing repair estimates.
• Perform diagnostic testing, programming, ADAS calibrations and analysis.
• Perform wiring repairs.
• Advise shop of needed repairs.
• Maintain inventory and coordinate with support staff for orders and receipts.
• Generate, print and email service invoices; collect payments where applicable.
• Deliver completed invoices to the office in an orderly manner.
• Keep shop equipment operating, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance.
• Collaborate with teammates to schedule and complete jobs.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

The Automotive ADAS Technician’s primary responsibility and accountability comprises customer interaction, vehicle testing and repair, invoice generation, inventory control, and service vehicle maintenance. Key Job Responsibilities

• Determines testing and analysis by communicating with shop representatives and reviews all estimates for repair
• Performs diagnostic testing, programming, ADAS calibrations and analysis
• Performs wiring repairs
• Advises shop of needed repairs
• Keeps inventory of stock, communicating with support staff for needed orders and verifying order receipts
• Writes, prints and emails service invoices
• Collects signature or payment for work performed
• Delivers completed invoices and payments to office in orderly manner
• Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshoots breakdowns; maintains supplies; performs preventative maintenance; advises management of repairs; keeps Google Drive up to date
• Collaborates with teammates according to PPT guidelines to schedule/complete jobs
• Other duties, as assigned

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Knowledge of OE scan tools
• Ability to learn new tools as needed
• Knowledge of wiring repair procedures
• Ability to service A/C systems
• Possesses diagnostic skills in the automotive trade
• Basic computer knowledge including using email, spreadsheet and messaging systems
• Willing and able to update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical publications and the like
• Must possess high school degree or GED equivalent
• 4+ years relevant automotive/electronic technician experience required

Compensation Details
