Job summary

The Boyd Group is seeking an Automotive ADAS Technician in Springfield, MO. The role emphasizes customer interaction, testing and repairing vehicles, invoicing, inventory control and service vehicle maintenance.

You will be a Brand Ambassador, collaborating with teammates and using OE scan tools to calibrate ADAS systems. Preferred candidates have 4+ years of automotive/electronic technician experience, strong diagnostic abilities, and solid computer skills.

Qualifications

• Must have diagnostic skills in automotive trade.
• Knowledge of OE scan tools and wiring repair procedures.
• Experience with A/C systems and diagnostic testing.
• Basic computer skills including email and spreadsheets.
• 4+ years automotive/electronic technician experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with shop representatives and review repair estimates.
• Perform diagnostic testing, programming and ADAS calibrations.
• Perform wiring repairs and advise on needed repairs.
• Maintain stock inventory and coordinate orders with support staff.
• Create and email service invoices and collect payments.
• Ensure shop equipment runs smoothly and perform preventative maintenance.
• Collaborate with teammates to schedule and complete jobs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description

The Automotive ADAS Technician’s primary responsibility and accountability comprises customer interaction, vehicle testing and repair, invoice generation, inventory control, and service vehicle maintenance. The Automotive ADAS Technician works in alignment with all team members and is committed to being a dedicated Brand Ambassador of The Boyd Group at all times.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Determines testing and analysis by communicating with shop representatives and reviews all estimates for repair
• Performs diagnostic testing, programming, ADAS calibrations and analysis
• Performs wiring repairs
• Advises shop of needed repairs
• Keeps inventory of stock, communicating with support staff for needed orders and verifying order receipts
• Writes, prints and emails service invoices
• Collects signature or payment for work performed
• Delivers completed invoices and payments to office in orderly manner
• Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshoots breakdowns; maintains supplies; performs preventative maintenance; advises management of repairs; keeps Google Drive up to date
• Collaborates with teammates according to PPT guidelines to schedule/complete jobs
• Other duties, as assigned

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Knowledge of OE scan tools
• Ability to learn new tools as needed
• Knowledge of wiring repair procedures
• Ability to service A/C systems
• Possesses diagnostic skills in the automotive trade
• Basic computer knowledge including using email, spreadsheet and messaging systems
• Willing and able to update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading technical publications and the like
• Must possess high school degree or GED equivalent
• 4+ years relevant automotive/electronic technician experience required

Compensation Details

• Pay Range: $60,000 - $95,000 / Annually (hourly pay, eligible for overtime). Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience.
• Schedule: Full-Time Monday to Friday 8 am – 5 pm
