Job summary

MavisTire is seeking full-time Automotive Mechanics in West Bend, WI. Your primary role will include inspecting, diagnosing, and performing automotive services such as undercar repairs, including brakes and suspension work. You will also be responsible for mandated inspections and oil changes.

About the Position of Automotive Mechanic

As Mavis’ leaders in undercar repairs, Automotive Mechanics are trusted to inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers’ vehicles. They perform undercar repairs, including brakes, struts, and shocks, and are responsible for completing state‑mandated inspections, changing oil and filters, checking fluids, replacing worn parts, and dismounting, mounting, rotating, and balancing tires.

Qualifications

Required:

• At least 18 years of age
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance or a combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates ability to perform duties and responsibilities
• Extensive toolbox of personal tools used in performing undercar repairs

Preferred:

• State inspection license(s)
• ASE Certifications: Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5)

Physical Requirements: Mechanics must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach, and perform repeated movements consistent with vehicle maintenance and automotive repair, and must regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
