About the Position of Automotive Mechanic

As Mavis's leaders in undercar repairs, Automotive Mechanics are trusted to inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers' vehicles. They perform a wide variety of undercar repairs, including brakes, struts, and shocks. They also complete state‑mandated inspections, change oil and filters, check fluids, replace worn parts, and dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires.

Qualifications

We recruit team members who share our commitment to providing complete customer satisfaction and delivering high quality service. To be eligible for the position, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age, be legally authorized to work in the United States, and possess 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance or equivalent education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties.
• Possess an extensive toolbox of personal tools used in performing undercar repairs.

Preferred additional qualifications:

• State inspection license(s).
• ASE Certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5).

Physical requirements: Mechanics must stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach and perform repeated movements consistent with vehicle maintenance and repair. They must regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
