Job summary

The Lubrizol Corporation in Wickliffe, OH is seeking an Automotive Mechanical Test Technician to support the Mechanical Testing Department. You will operate and maintain a variety of test stands for gasoline engines, heavy-duty diesel engines, axles, and transmissions, with 2nd and 3rd shift openings on-site.

Responsibilities include safe operation, troubleshooting equipment, data documentation, and cross-training across Mechanical Testing.

Qualifications

• Experience with automotive/mechanical equipment testing or education in related fields.
• Ability to use hand tools and precision measuring devices.
• Basic math and data documentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Ability to work in shifts and wear PPE as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain test stands and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot testing issues and communicate findings to engineers.
• Perform mechanical and maintenance tasks on engines and components.
• Document test data clearly and accurately.
• Assist with safety and housekeeping in test cells and labs.
