Job summary

CarGuys Inc. is seeking an accomplished Automotive Technician / Auto Mechanic / Service Technician – Master Tech to join its nationwide network of dealerships and repair facilities.

This role offers high pay with bonuses and opportunities to advance to Master Technician and leadership positions. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain engines, brakes, suspensions, drivability, and electrical systems while working with modern diagnostic tools in high-volume shops.

Qualifications

• Experience as an automotive technician, auto mechanic, service technician, or auto tech.
• Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and repair skills.
• Personal tools required.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform automotive repair and maintenance on engines, brakes, suspension, and drivability systems.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using automotive diagnostic equipment.
• Complete repairs to manufacturer specifications.
• Perform vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
• Handle warranty repairs, recall repairs, and dealership service work.

AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN / AUTO MECHANIC RESPONSIBILITIES

AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN SKILLS (AUTO MECHANIC / SERVICE TECHNICIAN)

Automotive technician skills include automotive diagnostics, auto repair, and vehicle maintenance across gasoline and diesel engines, engine repair, engine performance, and tune-ups. Experience with automatic transmission, manual transmission, drivetrain and axle repair, suspension and steering systems, brake repair, electrical systems, and electronic diagnostics is required. Skilled in HVAC systems, vehicle troubleshooting, and advanced diagnostic scan tools.

Experience performing automotive service technician duties in dealership service departments or independent repair shops, including warranty repair, recall repair, and vehicle inspections. ASE certification in engine repair, brakes, suspension, electrical systems, HVAC, and engine performance is strongly preferred.
