Job summary

Obsolete Site in the United States is seeking a skilled technician to troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul major vehicle components, including engines, transmissions, differentials, and fuel systems. You will follow technical manuals, run operational checks, and work in accordance with safety and environmental rules.

This role involves running tests, isolating complex malfunctions, and performing duties to move equipment within a facility.

Qualifications

• Lifts supplies and/or equipment weighing up to 44 lbs.
• Exposed to drafts, noise, fumes, dirt, dust and grease, and automotive fluids that may cause irritation from chemicals.
• Required to follow safety procedures and use standard safety equipment such as gloves, ear protectors, and safety glasses and exercise proper handling of equipment and hazardous materials to avoid serious injury in the work area.
• Must be able to work irregular hours of duty, to include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.

Allowances and Differentials

• This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week -- whichever gives the employee more benefit. Regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays. Employees may also be eligible to receive extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM.
• Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
