Job summary

Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices in Hackensack, NJ is seeking full-time Automotive Mechanics to inspect, diagnose and repair vehicles. You will work on brakes, suspensions, oil changes, and tire mounting/balancing, and perform state inspections as needed.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of automotive repair experience or training, a toolbox, and eligibility to work in the United States. ASE certifications (G1, A4, A5) and state inspection licenses are preferred; on-the-job

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance.
• Extensive toolbox of personal tools for undercar repairs.
• State inspection licenses.
• ASE Certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5).

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and perform undercar repairs including brakes, struts, and shocks.
• Perform oil changes, replace filters, check fluids, and replace worn parts.
• Dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires.
• Complete state-mandated inspections.
