Job summary

Pep Boys is now part of the Mavis Tire family and is hiring Automotive Mechanics for our Joliet, IL area service centers. You’ll inspect, diagnose, and perform a range of maintenance and repair services to keep customers safely on the road.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
• Have at least 2 years of automotive repair and maintenance experience and/or training
• Have the personal tools necessary to perform automotive and undercar repairs

Responsibilities

• Performing undercar repairs, including brakes, struts, shocks, suspension, and steering
• Diagnosing vehicle maintenance and repair needs
• Performing oil and filter changes and checking fluids
• Replacing worn or damaged parts
• Completing state inspections, where applicable
• Mounting, rotating, and balancing tires
• Maintaining Mavis standards for quality, safety, and customer service
