Essential Job Functions

• Utilizes tire balancer and tire machine to mount and balance tires, repairs flats, performs tire rotations, and conducts diagnostic tests for tire wear and vibration.
• Maintains knowledge of tire lines for inventory, procedures, stock inquiries, and shipping/receiving.
• Performs LOF and visual inspections including under hood, under car, and wheel off.
• Performs basic remove and replacement functions such as battery, filters, wipers, headlamps, and small bulbs.
• Executes alignments and flushes cooling systems, power steering, and transmission using applicable equipment.
• Performs basic diagnostics, recognizing noise or vibration issues after road testing.
• Assists in maintaining the facility, following proper procedures, and general maintenance duties.

Qualifications

Minimum training required includes basic automotive services, starting and charging systems, automotive and tire knowledge, maintenance, removal and replacement skills, and basic diagnostics.

Ability to read and interpret safety rules, instructions, and manuals; write routine reports; perform mathematical calculations; and interpret instructions from various formats.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

Regularly required to stand, walk, operate tools, and communicate with customers and staff. Must lift up to 75 pounds frequently and 75-100 pounds occasionally. Work involves exposure to moving parts, chemicals, noise, and outdoor conditions. Full-time, with some weekend and travel requirements.

Additional requirements include a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and passing a background check.
