Description

As a member of the Menzies Aviation Ground Service Equipment (GSE) Mechanic team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient repairing and rebuilding of airport service vehicles. You will inspect and identify defective or broken parts on vehicles and make repairs to gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.

• Location: Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG)
• Hourly Rate: $27.00/hr, $29.50/hr with $2.50 shift differential pay for 3rd shift
• Schedule: 40 hours/week - open availability including weekends
• Required: Mechanical tools and toolbox
• Shift: 2nd shift, 1:30pm-10pm Thursday-Monday; 3rd shift (once trained): 10pm-6am

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair vehicle parts and systems
• Hydrate electric equipment as per schedule
• Repair non-motorized equipment
• Program and understand Rapid Charger functions
• Repair and replace tires and wheels
• Perform quality control checks
• Maintain maintenance records
• Operate service vehicles and equipment
• Conduct accident inspections and report incidents
• Respond to repair calls and ensure equipment readiness
• Operate all vehicles and GSE safely
• Maintain a safe work environment

Qualifications

• Prior shop experience preferred but not required
• Must be 18+, possess valid US driver’s license, pass drug screen
• Proficient in English reading, writing, speaking
• Ability to lift/move 70 lbs
• Flexible with shifts, weather conditions
• Willing to perform various operational duties
• Obtain and maintain Airport Badge
• High School Diploma or GED, or related experience

Working Conditions

Work involves outdoor weather, exposure to mechanical parts, high voltages, noise, fumes, and hazardous substances. May work at heights. Must have electrical, maintenance, and computer knowledge. Perform maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair equipment, ensuring quality and timely work.

Physical Requirements

Frequent standing, walking, sitting, handling objects, reaching, climbing, talking, and hearing. Tasks include digging, shoveling, debris removal, lifting up to 70 lbs. Reasonable accommodations available.
