Job summary

Avis Budget Group in Englewood, CO is hiring an Automotive Mechanic (B Tech) to perform essential mechanical repairs on our fleet of moving vans and box trucks across brands.

You’ll do oil and fluids, brakes, suspension, and warranty work, with on-the-job training to expand your skills and ASE certification growth. If you’re detail-oriented with 2+ years of experience, this is a hands-on opportunity in a busy shop.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of professional auto repair experience.
• At least 1 ASE certification, with ability to obtain 2 additional ASE certifications within the first year.
• Valid Driver’s License (Class A, B, or C) and able to obtain DOT medical clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil and fluid services, lubrication, tire repairs, brakes and suspension work.
• Complete warranty-related repairs based on experience level.
• Assist senior technicians with diagnostics and repairs as skills grow.
• May drive Budget Truck on public roads for testing or operational support.

Your responsibilities include oil and fluid services, lubrication, tire repairs, brake and suspension work, and warranty-related repairs based on your experience level.You may also assist senior technicians with more complex diagnostics and repair procedures as you continue to grow your skills. As needed, you may be required to drive a Budget Truck on public roads for testing, repair verification, or operational support.By keeping vehicles operating safely and efficiently, your work helps reduce downtime, supports fleet availability, and ensures customers can get on the road with confidence.Perks You’ll Get:• Bi-weekly hourly wage (New York and Puerto Rico: weekly wage)• On-the-job training to expand your automotive skills and support ASE certification growth• Paid time off• Medical, dental and other insurance• Flexible spending account opportunity to contribute up to $270 as a tax-free benefit for public transportation or parking expenses• Retirement benefits (401k)• Employee discounts, including discounted car rental and discounted prices on the purchase of Avis/Budget cars* Above perks may vary based on full-time/part-time status and locationWhat We’re Looking For:• Valid Driver’s License (Class A, B, or C)• Minimum of 2 years of professional auto repair experience• At least 1 ASE certification, with the ability to obtain 2 additional ASE certifications within the first year• Working knowledge of ASE certification areas including, but not limited to: Engine Repair, Drivetrain/Axles, Suspension/Steering, Brakes, Electrical, Heating/Air Conditioning, Engine Performance, and Light Vehicle/Diesel• Comfortable working in a mechanical shop with moderate to loud noise levels• Must have a complete set of tools required for automotive repair and maintenance• Basic computer skills, including typing and data entry• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, continuously stand, bend, reach, walk, sit and kneel frequently, enter, exit and drive vehicles• Must be at least 21 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States• Must be able to obtain DOT medical clearance• This position requires regular, on-site presence and cannot be performed remotely• Previous Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) experience is preferred and considered a strong advantageWho We Are:Here at Avis Budget Group, you will be joining a team of 25,000 driven people, performing with purpose.
