AUTO MECHANIC / AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN — ELKHART, IN

The shop in Elkhart recently had a customer walk in carrying a loose car part like it was a newborn baby. That pretty much sums up the energy here — people show up with stories, theories, and sometimes… props.

Elkhart brings a unique mix of vehicles: RVs the size of small nations, work trucks that look like they’ve been through three lifetimes of hauling, and daily drivers that have survived more Indiana winters than their owners care to admit. You’ll get customers who reenact the noise with sound effects, folks who swear their car “only acts up when I’m near Goshen,” and the northern‑Indiana classic: “It started doing this after I towed something I probably shouldn’t have.”
