• Bachelor's degree required.
• Must have recent experience in an Automotive Manufacturing plant.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.

• Broad based supply chain management and process development knowledge.

Responsabilités

• Prepare instructions regarding purchasing system and procedures.
• Direct the preparation of and issuance of purchase orders and change notices.
• Analyze market and delivery conditions to determine material availability and prepare market analysis reports.
• Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to policy.
• Arrange for disposal of surplus materials.
• Design and develop systems and procedures to implement purchasing, production scheduling, inventory control and traffic for uninterrupted flow of materials.
• Establish purchasing procedures consistent with policy.
• Develop requirements for parts suppliers to improve timely delivery.
• Implement visual inventory management systems on the production floor.
• Maintain inventories to assure availability of materials and parts.
• Set guidelines with suppliers to improve efficiency and cost savings while maintaining material flow.
• Assist in developing inventory budgets and provide guidance for inventory management.
• Develop procedures to handle engineering changes during the model year for plant, suppliers and customers.
• Assist Plant Engineering and Plant Quality Manager in Vendor Quality Assurance.
• Resolve disposition of substandard or rejected materials.
• Coordinate changes in product to align parts and materials for timely production start-up.
• Ensure supplies are delivered on time for uninterrupted production and shipment.
• Adapt and implement computer technology to support orderly manufacture and on-time delivery.
• Maintain Bill of Material and databases to support manufacturing system software.
• Utilize and practice continuous improvement methods.
• Comply with all Company Safety policies, procedures and rules.
