Job summary

Grammer is seeking a Material Planner to join the MP&L team in Shannon, MS. You will proactively analyze data, manage material flow, and coordinate between production, suppliers, and customers to ensure timely deliveries and accurate SAP data.

Ideal candidates have a related bachelor’s degree, 5–10 years in a similar role, and experience with IATF 16949. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• 5–10 years of experience in a similar role preferred.
• Automotive manufacturing experience or experience in a related manufacturing industry.
• Experience with IATF 16949.
• Excellent analytical, prioritization, organization, and communication skills.
• Strong organization skills and ability to navigate ambiguity.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• SAP knowledge/experience developed through regular strategic and analytical use.
• Proven ability to prioritize tasks and pivot when urgent matters arise.
• Proven ability to solve practical and complex problems with an analytical mindset.
• Ability to walk the facility to audit/count material and lift/move up to 25 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Take proactive initiative and analyze data for MP&L challenges.
• Analyze customer releases and ensure accurate data transfer among teams, customers, and suppliers.
• Daily SAP maintenance and data entry to meet Grammer goals.
• Analyze production schedules, inventory reports, and work orders to determine material requirements and stock availability.
• Collaborate with Production to identify overdue material and inform stakeholders of supply challenges.
• Align cross-functionally to expedite material flow and reduce waste.
• Examine received materials and verify part numbers and discrepancies.
• Monthly analysis and reporting of supplier and customer delivery performance.
• Coordinate with suppliers and customers for smooth deliveries; track shipments and navigate Customs.
• Perform inventory cycle counts and investigate discrepancies.
