Job summary

Manufacturing Technology Engineer (Auto) Fort Mill, SC is sought to develop and optimize production technology for Schaeffler's automotive products. You will lead efforts to drive technology implementations, assess feasibility, and ensure robust processes through data-driven methods.

You will collaborate with global technology networks and central functions to deliver validated equipment, tooling, and setup instructions, while aligning with regional standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 1 year of engineering experience in manufacturing tech.
• Computer literacy with spreadsheets, word processing, databases, and PM tools.
• Familiarity with Advanced Quality Planning Techniques.
• Proficiency in light programming with Python, Java, or C++.
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Realize development, implementation and optimization of manufacturing technology for production.
• Drive development and coordination of manufacturing technologies using statistics for quality, efficiency and robustness.
• Conduct process investigations to fine-tune equipment and setup considering product and tooling.
• Review new technology launches for design/material feasibility and impact on cycle time.
• Support production to identify and solve issues using data-driven methods.
• Create manufacturing process documents including release documents and setup instructions.
• Apply standard process and equipment norms across regions.
• Negotiate equipment and tool specifications with suppliers and define validation requirements.
• Collaborate with manufacturing technology networks and central functions.
