$20.00/hr - $25.00/hr

$20.00-25.00 an hour. Work hours are 9am-5pm Mon-Fri. Weekends off.

We are helping an autonomous tractor trailer company hire an engineering-focused Vehicle Technician to support the readiness of its fleet vehicles.

In this role, you will perform maintenance, repairs, and contribute towards the operations of the lab. This includes scheduled service, diagnostics, repair coordination, lab space fit/function, and general upkeep.

We're looking for someone with extensive knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of prior technician experience.

As a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic, You'll

• Configure, set up, maintain, diagnose, and sign off on vehicles for safe on-road usage (may need to travel locally).
• Sync with the shop foreman to ensure all vehicles are in a “ready” state for demonstration and testing requirements.
• Perform diagnostics and escalate to the engineering team if needed.
• Coordinate and drive the repair process.
• Create diagnostic test plans.
• Maintain service records and document quality field reports.
• Maintain shop facilities, ensure tools are in order, and workspace is in excellent condition.
• Assist with parts inventory, location, and organization.
• Build an excellent service experience for internal teams and business partners.

Auto Technician/Mechanic Requirements

• 2+ years of technician experience
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance methods, techniques, parts, tools, and materials
• Clean driving record
• Reliable, self-starter, hardworking
• Ability to manage multiple projects
• Team player
• Excellent communication skills
• Honest and responsible

Preferred Qualifications

• ASE Certification
• Experience with medium/heavy trucks and diagnostics
• Knowledge of autonomous vehicle sensors and integration
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux
• Fabrication experience
