Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East seeks a Machine Operator / Robotic Welder Operator in Milan, MI to run automated production machinery and robotic welders safely and efficiently.

  • Ability to read and follow written work instructions and production specifications.
  • Ability to identify quality defects and communicate issues promptly.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive production tasks.
  • Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Operate robotic welding equipment, production machinery, and related equipment according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain the standard rate of production while meeting established quality requirements.
  • Follow written work instructions, production specifications, and operator inspection sheets to ensure parts are produced accurately and consistently.
  • Perform routine inspections of finished parts to identify defects, including open welds, incorrect part dimensions or lengths, weld appearance, and other quality concerns.
  • Monitor equipment and robotic welding processes to ensure proper operation and consistent production.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and address minor equipment or production issues when appropriate; promptly report more significant problems to the supervisor or maintenance team.
  • Make appropriate adjustments to equipment or processes within the scope of training and established procedures.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records as required.
  • Communicate production, quality, equipment, and safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the shift.
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
  • Meet established production, quality, attendance, and performance expectations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

The Machine Operator / Robotic Welder Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring automated production machinery and robotic welding equipment to produce quality parts safely and efficiently.
