Job summary

Avis Budget Group is hiring an entry-level automotive technician in Charleston, SC. You will perform preventive maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and basic repairs on a diverse fleet, helping keep vehicles safe and reliable for customers.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work on site with flexible shifts. Paid training and opportunities for ASE certification support are included.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude or prior automotive maintenance experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Comfortable in a mechanical shop with typical noise levels.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and records.
• Flexibility to work all shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on our fleet, including oil changes, fluid services, tire changes/rotations, and basic repairs following safety and quality standards.
• Work on newer vehicles across multiple manufacturers to gain exposure to diverse systems.
