Job summary

Ford Dealership in Wisconsin is seeking a Lube Technician to support oil changes, tire mount/balance/repair, battery replacement, air filter changes, and fluid services for various makes and models, primarily Ford. You will explain repairs clearly to customers and work to improve efficiency in the service department.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of automotive experience.
• Ability to communicate and solve problems in a team setting.
• Familiarity with automotive diagnostics is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and dealership standards.
• Conduct regular scheduled maintenance on all makes and models (primarily Ford).
• Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs.
• Complete video inspections on all vehicles.
• Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in non-technical terms to service advisors and customers.
• Continuously learn new technical information through formal training.
• Inspect and test new vehicles and document findings for repairs.
• Perform basic maintenance such as tire rotations, replacements/repairs, brake inspections, fluid top-offs, lubrication, batteries, bulbs, etc.
