Job summary

Sames Auto Group in Texas is seeking an entry-level Automotive Technician – Level C (Lube Technician). The role offers hands-on training to support shop efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction while building a technician career path. No prior automotive experience is required, but a mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn are essential.

Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record is required. High school diploma or equivalent (or currently pursuing) is expected.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow safety guidelines and dealership procedures.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

The Automotive Technician – Level C (Lube Technician) is an entry-level position responsible for basic vehicle maintenance and inspections. This role serves as the foundation for a technician career path and provides hands‑on training while supporting shop efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic maintenance services, including:
• Oil and filter changes
• Tire rotations and tire pressure checks
• Fluid inspections and top-offs
• Battery testing and replacement
• Basic vehicle inspections
• Assist B- and A-Level Technicians with vehicle preparation and shop support tasks.
• Conduct multi-point inspections and report findings accurately.
• Learn proper use of tools, equipment, and service manuals.
• Follow safety guidelines and dealership procedures at all times.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Participate in training programs and skill development.
• Document completed work accurately in dealership systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
