Job summary

Precision Tune Auto Care in Baton Rouge is hiring an Automotive Lube Technician to perform preventive maintenance and support our experienced technicians. The role focuses on oil changes, fluid checks, and keeping vehicles safe and efficient.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and an interest in automotive repair.
• Previous lube technician or automotive experience is preferred but not required. We will train the right individual who is motivated to build a long-term automotive career.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil changes using manufacturer-recommended oils and filters.
• Perform courtesy vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Check and top off all vehicle fluids.
• Inspect and replace engine air filters and cabin air filters.
• Install windshield wiper blades and exterior bulbs.
• Check and adjust tire pressures.
• Rotate tires and perform basic tire repairs as needed.
• Perform battery testing and basic battery replacements.
• Perform engine and fuel system maintenance services.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
• Properly document completed services.
• Assist technicians with shop operations and vehicle movement.
• Follow all company safety procedures and environmental guidelines.
• Deliver friendly, professional customer service while working as part of a team.

What You\'ll Do

As an Automotive Lube Technician, you\'ll play an important role in keeping customers' vehicles running safely and efficiently by performing preventive maintenance services and assisting our experienced technicians.

Physical Requirements

• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach throughout the workday
• Safely operate customer vehicles and shop equipment

• Perform repetitive tasks while maintaining attention to detail and quality
