Job summary

Premier Automotive Group in Kansas City, KS 66109 is seeking an Automotive Technician to perform vehicle inspections, basic maintenance, oil changes, and minor repairs, and to document work performed. You will communicate with service advisors, test-drive vehicles, install accessories, and participate in in-house and factory training courses.

A fast-paced role requires learning new technologies and providing excellent customer service. A valid driver’s license with a clean record is required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of automotive maintenance experience or automotive technician training is required.
• Dexterity with steady hand and good hand-eye coordination.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Basic computer competencies.
• Positive, friendly attitude with a service mentality.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to learn new technology and repair procedures.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and have a valid driver’s license with a clean record.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle inspections, basic maintenance, minor repairs, and documentation.
• Perform oil changes and lubrication work.
• Communicate with service advisor when additional repairs are needed or when repairs cannot be completed in the scheduled time period.
• Inspect and test-drive new vehicles to ensure that features function properly.
• Install accessories on new vehicles as specified by the customer or dealer.
• Shadow skilled technicians to learn how to perform quality service maintenance and repairs.
• Complete in-house and factory training courses.
