Job summary

Sneed Ford is seeking an Automotive Lot Porter/Detailer to keep vehicles clean and well-presented across the lot and showroom. You will shuttle cars, assist customers, and maintain an orderly, safe environment in a fast-paced dealership setting.

The role requires18 years of age, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to operate manual and automatic transmissions. Background check and drug screen are required. This is a full-time position with steady daytime hours.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Hold a valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Able to safely operate manual and automatic transmissions.
• Customer service skills and a positive attitude.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Willing to submit background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vehicle cleanliness (wash, vacuum, interior/exterior wipe).
• Assist customers and staff by retrieving, shuttling, or delivering cars; run errands.
• Inspect vehicles for damage before/after service or transport and report issues.
• Park and organize vehicles; keep lot clean and safe; showroom clean and dust-free.

The Lot Porter/Detailer supports both the sales and service departments by ensuring vehicles are clean, organized, and properly positioned for customers and staff. Responsibilities include safely transporting vehicles, maintaining an orderly lot, and supporting overall dealership operations to ensure smooth and professional customer experience.

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with cars, have strong driving skills, and want to be part of a high-performing automotive team.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of vehicles (wash, vacuum, and wipe down interiors and exteriors).
• Support customers and all employees with retrieving vehicles, shuttling, or delivering cars to customers while providing friendly service. Runs various errands for the dealership.
• Vehicles must be inspected for damage before and after service or transport and report any issues to management.
• Parking lot - make sure vehicles are parked properly and organized. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by removing debris and keeping the lot clear.
• Showroom - must keep the showroom vehicles clean and dust free.

Qualifications & Skills

• 18 Years Old
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to safely operate vehicles, including manual and automatic transmissions.
• Customer service skills and a positive attitude.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
• Must be willing to submit a background check and drug screen

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Exposure to various weather conditions while working outdoors.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move vehicles for extended periods.
• Fast-paced environment with frequent vehicle movement.
• Capable of lifting up to 25 lbs.

Experience

• Detailing cars: 1 year (preferred)
• Car Wash / Porter: 1 year (preferred)

Job Type

Full-time (40 hours per week)

Schedule

• Monday to Friday (8am to 5pm)
• Saturday (8:30am to 5pm) (every other, and when you work Saturday you will be off the following Monday)

Pay

$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
