Job summary

Mercedes-Benz of Atlanta Northeast in Buford, GA is hiring for a lot attendant to support the new service annex and pre-owned facility. You will help manage vehicle flow, park, secure and prepare vehicles for service and delivery.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Install seat, steering wheel, floor protection and ID tags in all vehicles taken in for service.
• Ensure that all vehicles in the lot are locked.
• Maintain the parking lot in an organized, efficient manner.
• Keep new and used vehicles lots neat and orderly.
• Move customer and dealership vehicles as directed.
• Make and implement decisions regarding maintaining and cleaning vehicles.
• Maintain new and used vehicles' appearance by cleaning interior and exterior, replenishing fluids and replacing batteries as needed.
• Operate overhead doors to assist customers and service employees.
• Remove protective coverings and ID tags installed in the vehicle prior to returning to the customer.
• Inspect the vehicle for stains, debris and damages before returning to the customer and report any damages to management.
• Return the vehicle keys to the appropriate Service Advisor.
• Remain in the service write-up area unless performing another task as directed.
• Understand and comply with federal, state and local regulations such as safety requirements.
• Clean dealership areas (e.g., walkways and sidewalks) as needed.
• Utilize available information to ensure proper resolution of problems.
• Provide prompt, efficient and quality service to customers and the dealership.
• Present self as a positive role model and maintain professionalism.

Mercedes-Benz of Atlanta Northeast is opening a new facility in Buford, GA and we are hiring! The site sits on 8.7 acres and totals 54,000 square feet, with 22 Mercedes-Benz service bays, 14 Sprinter bays, and 3 service drive lanes. It operates as a full Service Annex, service, parts, loaner vehicles, and detail, and it also sells pre-owned vehicles across all makes and models.

• Understand and comply with federal, state and local regulations, such as safety requirements, hazardous waste disposal, OSHA, Right-to-Know, etc.
• Clean dealership areas (e.g., walkways and sidewalks) as needed
• Utilize all available information to ensure proper resolution of problems

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or the equivalent
• One year experience in an automobile retail environment
• Must have valid in-state driver's license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record and safe driving habits in order to drive both customer vehicles and a demonstrator vehicle
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be insurable
• Ability to collaborate with the public, sometimes with several customers at a time
