Job summary

Autokiniton in Michigan seeks a Process Improvement Analyst to identify and implement manufacturing process enhancements that boost safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency. You will collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to reduce waste and improve equipment performance.

The role requires hands-on experience in automotive environments, strong problem-solving abilities, and proficiency with data analysis and office software.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Technology, Engineering Technology, or related field.
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing environment, preferably with hot stamps.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor production processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in implementing Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Educates associates on procedures, safety, quality, and operational requirements.
  • Monitor machinery and equipment; write work orders when necessary.
  • Collect and analyze production data (downtime, scrap, cycle times).
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for production and quality issues.
  • Develop and lead process-improvement initiatives to boost competitiveness and efficiency.
  • Eliminate waste through safety, quality and production improvements.
  • Participate in process audits and recommend improvements.
  • Develop and maintain standard work instructions and process documentation.
  • Assist with equipment troubleshooting and process optimization.
  • Guide research and implementation of cost-saving programs.
  • Support new equipment installations, process changes, and product launches.
  • Collaborate with operators and supervisors to improve process consistency and productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on improvement activities and project results.
