Job summary

Bridgestone Americas' Bridgestone Retail Operations team in Columbia, SC is seeking a Lead Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems while mentoring a work crew to improve customer care and satisfaction.

You’ll work with a flat-rate pay model, pursue ASE certifications, and participate in ongoing paid training. Benefits include medical, dental and vision coverage, paid vacation, a 401(k) match and access to daily pay options.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license and be able to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Skilled in brakes diagnosis/repair and general automotive maintenance.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
• Reading, writing and math skills required.
• Current federal, state and local certification/license where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications – brake, hydraulic, exhaust, electrical, suspension and air conditioning.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
• Stay current with automotive tech through ongoing paid formal training.
• Assist and train technicians in performing technical activities.
• Obtain or maintain ASE certifications within two years of employment.
