Position Summary

The Lead Technician uses their experience and technical skills to diagnose drivability and electrical systems while leading and mentoring a team to enhance customer satisfaction.

Pay Range: $21.06 - $40.32

Technicians enjoy a performance-based flat-rate pay system, rewarding efficiency and expertise.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, fuel ignition, electrical, suspension, alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems.
• Explain diagnoses and repairs clearly to non-mechanical customers.
• Stay current with automotive technology through ongoing paid training.
• Assist and train other technicians.
• Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications in at least five areas within two years, with company-paid tests and bonuses for passing.

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Skilled in brakes, alignment, steering, suspension, and general automotive maintenance.
• Relevant federal, state, and local certifications/licenses.
• Ability to communicate technical info effectively.
• Reading, writing, and math skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of electrical systems, engine repair, performance, transmission, heating/AC.
• 5+ years automotive repair experience or vocational training.
• A.S.E. certifications in multiple areas, especially brakes, steering, and suspension.
