Position Summary

The Lead Technician uses your technical expertise to diagnose drivability and electrical systems and your leadership skills to mentor a team, enhancing customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, fuel, electrical, suspension, alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems.
  • Explain technical diagnoses and repairs to customers.
  • Stay current with automotive technology through ongoing training.
  • Train and assist technicians in technical tasks.
  • Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications, with company-paid testing fees and bonuses for passing exams.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to drive company and customer vehicles.
  • Skilled in brakes, alignment, steering, suspension, and general automotive maintenance.
  • Current federal, state, and local certifications/licenses as applicable.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly.
  • Strong reading, writing, and math skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, engine repair, transmission, heating/AC, etc.
  • 5+ years of automotive repair experience or vocational training.
  • A.S.E. certifications in multiple areas, especially brakes, steering, and suspension.
