V2X Professional Services (VPS) seeks an Automotive Instructor to facilitate Interactive Distance Learning and Instructor Led Training for Mazda dealership technicians in a dedicated Schaumburg training center. The role requires strong diagnostic capability and independent, customer-facing teaching at a satellite site.
Ideal candidates bring automotive technician experience, familiarity with advanced diagnostic equipment, and ASE/Mazda knowledge is a plus but not required.
AUTOMOTIVE INSTRUCTOR - This position will be based out of Schaumburg, IL. V2X Professional Services (VPS) is looking for an individual to facilitate Interactive Distance Learning (PC based) and Instructor Led Training courses to Mazda Dealership Technicians in a training center setting. This individual must be highly motivated, willing to accept new challenges, and be able to complete tasks with minimal direction, including independent study, to stay current with technology. The ideal candidate will have previous dealership and Instructor/Facilitator experience. ASE Certification is desired and Mazda experience also desired, but not required for role.
Facilitate Interactive Distance Learning (PC based) and Instructor Led Training courses to Mazda Dealership Technicians in a training center setting. Work independently at a satellite training facility with minimal direction. Stay current with technology and vehicle systems. Engage customers and co-workers in a team environment.
Work is performed in both classroom and shop/lab settings. Working in shop/lab areas may involve exposure to various automotive fumes, fluids, noise, smells, sharp edges and bump hazards that require continuous use of personal protective equipment, e.g., safety glasses, gloves, and head protection. Classroom work may involve standing, sitting, walking, occasional lifting from floor, bending, frequent near vision use for reading and computer use.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, bend, kneel, stoop, communicate, reach, and manipulate objects. Duties may involve moving materials weighing up to 35 pounds on a regular basis such as automotive components and equipment, as well as papers, files, boxes, computers, etc. Less frequent requirements for moving materials weighing over 35 pounds exist with the assistance of lifting and moving equipment, i.e., hoists and lift tables. Manual dexterity and coordination are required over 50% of the work period while working in the shop/lab areas as well as operating equipment such as computer keyboard, monitor, projector, calculator, printer, and standard office equipment.
