Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an Industrial Engineer to support one of our automotive clients at their Spring Hill Assembly Plant in Tennessee. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives to boost safety, quality, productivity, and overall manufacturing performance.

Day-to-day duties include performing time studies, line balancing, and layout design using AutoCAD, partnering with cross-functional teams to implement sustainable solutions and reduce downtime in a high-volume production

Qualifications

• BA Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as an Industrial Engineer.
• Automotive industry experience.
• Knowledgeable in continuous improvement, process improvement, bottlenecks, time studies and line layouts.

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement process improvements to optimize manufacturing operations and increase throughput.
• Conduct detailed time studies and labor analysis to evaluate workstation effectiveness, cycle times, and operator utilization.
• Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and constraints impacting line performance and vehicle output.
• Develop and implement line balancing strategies to improve workflow, reduce downtime, and ensure operations meet takt time requirements.
• Create, modify, and maintain manufacturing layouts using AutoCAD to improve material flow, ergonomics, and overall plant efficiency.

This individual will work directly within the General Assembly organization and be responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives that improve safety, quality, productivity, and overall manufacturing performance.

• Support the General Assembly production area by identifying and implementing process improvements to optimize manufacturing operations and increase throughput.
• Conduct detailed time studies and labor analysis to evaluate workstation effectiveness, cycle times, and operator utilization.
